Join us in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park (4002 Wallace St.) Saturday August 19th from 11am til 5pm. Hear works by Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Edgar Allan Poe and others, read aloud by San Diego actors. Play unique games designed especially for TwainFest. Take home FREE books. Hear tall tales, stories and poetry. Visit Dr. Frankenstein’s Laboratory. Delight in Giant Puppets. Learn to play the Fife and Drum. Vote in the Election of 1872. Play Croquet with the Red Queen. And so much more. See you there! M-I-Z!

Greetings Mizzou Fans in San Diego. Summertime in San Diego offers plenty of options to tickle your fancy, make no mistake, we have one eye on the fall, Mizzou Football, and watch parties. Also an eye on the future as we send to latest crop of San Diego students on their journey to become Mizzou Alums. We have a change of venue this year. Join us at Lopez Ridge Community Park 7245 Calle Cristobal San Diego CA 92126 Sunday July 31st from 2pm to 4pm. Bring chairs or blanket, food and drinks are provided by the chapter. Come impart some knowledge to young people about to embark on becoming Mizzou Alums. Oh yeah, Mizzou Football starts in less than 40 days. M-I-Z!

Meet at the entrance to tour the gardens as a group.
Afterwards we will continue our celebration of Mizzou at the nearby restaurant, Beachside
Bar & Grill. We’ll plan to arrive at 3pm to enjoy cocktails and catch the Kentucky Derby.

Experience the magnificent, 185-million-dollar, 9-story structure on a tour guided
by Mizzou alum Katie Sullivan, a longtime library supporter and current executive
vice chair of the San Diego Public Library Foundation Board of Trustees.
The 90-minute tour includes the largest baseball memorabilia
collection outside the Baseball Hall of Fame and breathtaking
views from the top of the library. At the conclusion of the tour,
enjoy refreshments and socialize with your fellow Tigers.
Refreshments provided by the San Diego Mizzou Alumni Chapter.
The San Diego Central Library offers FREE underground parking for the first 2 hours.
