The top-notch Elbow Room staff will have coffee, breakfast burritos, bloody marys, just about whatever you need to get the sleep out of your eyes to watch some football. 2016 Student Send-off
Greetings Mizzou Fans in San Diego. Summertime in San Diego offers plenty of options to tickle your fancy, make no mistake, we have one eye on the fall, Mizzou Football, and watch parties. Also an eye on the future as we send to latest crop of San Diego students on their journey to become Mizzou Alums. We have a change of venue this year. Join us at Lopez Ridge Community Park 7245 Calle Cristobal San Diego CA 92126 Sunday July 31st from 2pm to 4pm. Bring chairs or blanket, food and drinks are provided by the chapter. Come impart some knowledge to young people about to embark on becoming Mizzou Alums. Oh yeah, Mizzou Football starts in less than 40 days. M-I-Z!
2016 Capstone Celebration
The San Diego Chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association has had a busy year
engaging alumni from across the area! Meet up with fellow San Diego Tigers and
celebrate our chapter achieving Capstone status again this year – the highest
designation awarded for a Mizzou alumni chapter! One of the benefits for achieving
Capstone status is the ability to award a scholarship to an incoming Mizzou student
from the San Diego Area. The chapter will host appetizers as part of the celebration. Be there in your black & gold!
Mizzou Day at Petco Park
We had 50 people show up for the Cardinals vs Padres game at Petco Park. Jane negotiated a great suite location for our members, family, and friends to enjoy the baseball game. We are looking at making this an annual event and possibly doing a Royals game if they visit San Diego.
Rope the Musical
Join fellow Tigers for an afternoon at the theater! The award-winning ROPE comes
to San Diego after its successful run in New York City. ROPE is a Western, set in 1895.
The show features comedy, drama and eleven original songs. Broadway veteran
Dennis Holland performs the lead role.
Mark Sickman, the author and composer, is a Mizzou alumnus (MA ’66) and
San Diego chapter member. Take advantage of special seating and discounted

Watch party vs. Kentucky
San Diego Mizzou fans, there’s going to be a catfight in Lexington Saturday night when your Mizzou Tigers go to rip up the Wildcats. Kickoff is at 4:30. Come down to Elbow Room and cheer the Tigers in defense of their undefeated record. The wait staff will be on hand to serve food and your favorite beverages off their fantastic menu. Painting fundraiser
Feeling a little creative to kick off the summer? Join the San Diego chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association for a painting fundraiser to benefit the San Diego Mizzou Alumni Scholarship Fund. A professional artist will
provide step-by-step instructions to help you paint the downtown San Diego skyline. All supplies are provided, and you get to take home your finished painting at the conclusion of the event! The Mizzou Alumni Chapter will also provide light appetizers. Proceeds from event registration and food/beverage sales benefit the chapter’s local scholarship fund to support deserving San Diego students attending the University of Missouri.
